Job Title: Veterinary Assistant
Location: Bowling Green, OH
Salary: $45,000-$55,000/ year
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday - Friday 7:30 am-6:30 pm and Saturday 7:30 am-1:30 pm
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess a strong background in veterinary practices.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
- Perform animal catheterization and assist with laboratory procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sterility in treatment areas and surgical suites
- Provide care for animals including feeding, grooming, and exercising
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals under veterinary care
- Assist with kennel duties including cleaning and disinfecting animal living spaces
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in animal care or veterinary settings is preferred- Knowledge of animal physiology
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
- Strong communication skills to interact with pet owners and team members effectively
