JOB SUMMARY:
This is an endowed faculty leadership position established to honor and recognize a faculty member of superior distinction in pharmacy practice, education, research, and service. Under the general supervision of the Dean, the Endowed Chair & Associate/Full Professor is responsible for all administrative and academic leadership functions of the Department of Pharmacy Practice & Administration while also fulfilling the responsibilities of a tenured faculty member within the PharmD program.
The position provides financial support above and beyond base salary to advance excellence in research, teaching, and service. The faculty members will teach professional pharmacy courses, develop and maintain a clinical practice site, precept and train pharmacy students and residents in IPPE and APPE experiential programs, engage in scholarly research, and provide service to the College, University, profession, and community. The position also supports departmental growth through faculty development, curricular innovation, postgraduate training oversight, and funded research initiatives.
