The Equipment Repair Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to keep operations running efficiently. This position performs preventative maintenance, responds to equipment breakdowns, and helps improve the reliability of manufacturing equipment while minimizing production downtime.
- Repair and maintain lasers, UV printers, engraving equipment, embroidery machines, conveyors, and other production equipment
- Diagnose equipment failures and restore machines to operation quickly
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and machinery
- Install and replace motors, bearings, belts, sensors, switches, relays, power supplies, and other machine components
- Read basic wiring diagrams and equipment manuals
- Assist with facility maintenance, including lighting, electrical repairs, security cameras, network cable runs, and general building maintenance
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
- Maintain maintenance records and document completed repairs
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Assist with training and supporting Maintenance Helpers when needed
- Dependable, organized, and able to work independently
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of basic electrical systems, including 24V and 120V circuits
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and equipment manuals
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One or more years of experience in equipment repair, maintenance, automotive repair, construction, HVAC, electrical work, manufacturing, or another technical trade preferred
- Experience with industrial or manufacturing equipment, CNC machines, lasers, UV printers, or automated machinery is a plus
- Welding, fabrication, networking, PLC, or motor controls experience is a plus
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Ability to work around manufacturing equipment in a production environment
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures, including hot and cold conditions depending on the season
