Private Events & Catering Chef
Full-Time | $65,000–$75,000
We are seeking an experienced chef to oversee our private events and catering operation.
This position is responsible for menu development, food preparation, event execution, and kitchen leadership for a wide range of catered events. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing both day-to-day preparation and on-site event service.
Responsibilities
- Develop menus for private events and catered functions
- Execute a variety of service styles, including:
- Plated dinners
- Buffet service
- Family-style service
- Cocktail receptions
- Corporate events
- Weddings and social gatherings
- Manage food ordering and inventory for events
- Schedule and supervise catering kitchen staff
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Coordinate with clients and event managers regarding menus and service requirements
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Catering Chef, or Private Chef
- Strong culinary and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience with high-volume food production and event execution
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules
