Job Summary

Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression of the restaurant
- Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using reservation management systems such as Open Table
- Maintain an organized waitlist and seating chart to optimize table turnover and guest flow
- Communicate clearly with guests via phone and in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and guest service
- Handle guest inquiries regarding menu items, wait times, and special requests with professionalism
- Assist with restaurant table management systems to monitor seating arrangements and availability
- Uphold food safety standards by maintaining cleanliness in the host station and adhering to health guidelines
- Support guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a positive attitude above all
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, seating charts, and guest flow effectively
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with guests, team members, and handling phone communication professionally
- Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and table counts accurately
- Experience with POS systems used in restaurants to assist with guest check-ins and billing processes is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to deliver exceptional guest experiences
