W Health Ventures has set up India's first healthcare focused Venture Studio called 2070Health, an innovation platform that builds transformative healthcare companies from scratch by discovering disruptive opportunities in whitespaces. Distinct from the accelerator approach, our venture studio is closely involved in idea generation, day-to-day operations, and strategic decisions of growing the new business. Companies incubated in the last 24 months include Elevate Now, Nivaan Care, Reveal Healthtech, BabyMD and Everhope Oncology.
This role is for a company we are incubating within the studio.
The Role
Care navigation is the single largest unsolved problem for complex patients in the US. Medicare and Medicaid populations with multiple chronic conditions and unmet social needs are routed through a fragmented system that nobody owns end to end. The result is missed care, repeat admissions, and outcomes that fail patients and payers alike. CMS has finally made the navigation function reimbursable through the PIN and CHI billing pathways, and adjacent program economics (ACO REACH, GUIDE, ACCESS) are converging in the same direction. The market is catching up to the problem, and the window to build the category leader is now.
We are building a new company in the US care navigation space and looking for a founding CEO to own it end-to-end: the P&L, the care navigation operating model, payer and provider partnerships, and the early team.
You will report directly to the W Health Ventures partnership and hold founder-level equity. This is not a chief-of-staff or GM-of-an-existing-business seat. It is the seat for someone who has done this before and wants to do it again with capital, conviction, and a clear thesis already in place.
What You'll Do
- Own the full P&L. Build the model, set unit economics, defend assumptions, and operate against the plan.
- Design and run the care navigation engine: clinical workflow, CHW and care team structure, and the tech-enabled operating model that lets us scale margin.
- Lead GTM. Close the first payer contracts, specialist provider partnerships, and post-acute relationships.
- Translate CMS program economics (PIN/CHI, ACO REACH, GUIDE, ACCESS Model) into a sellable, repeatable offer.
- Hire and develop the early team across clinical, operations, and growth. Set the culture and the bar from day one.
- Partner with W Health Ventures on the next funding round, board updates, and the long-term investor narrative.
Requirements
- 10 to 15 years building healthcare businesses in operating roles, not advisory or investing seats
- Direct experience in care navigation, complex care management, or a value-based care operator running a serious navigation function
- Track record as a founder or founding executive at a healthcare company, ideally one that scaled past the early stage
- Comfort owning a P&L, including building and defending the model yourself
- Strong pedigree: top MBA program, prior tour at a VC-backed healthcare company, or both
- Working knowledge of CMS innovation programs and PIN/CHI billing (G0019/G0022, G0023/G0024) is preferred
- MD + MBA is a strong plus, not a requirement
- Experience hiring and managing CHW teams at scale is a strong plus
- Exposure to Medicare Advantage, Medicaid managed care, or D-SNP populations is a plus
