The Medical Assistant supports, among a clinical team within the practice by rooming the patients in preparation to see the Physician. Performing Medical Assistant duties such as taking vitals and EKGs. The Medical Assistant will also update patient information in the electronic medical records system. Qualifications:
Education: A High School diploma or equivalent required.
Licenses/Certifications: A BLS certification required through American Heart Association. A current Medical Assistant certification preferred.
Experience: Work experience as a Medical Assistant in a practice setting preferred. Experience using an EMR System.
Other Skills: Excellent customer service skills and a team player; must value being part of the positive patient experience within the office. Proficiency in using an EMR system; EPIC preferred.
