American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent specialty experience and at least one completed prior travel assignment.

Short-term acute care setting within a large hospital and Level I Trauma Center
-
Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a team nursing model; patient ratios are approximately 1:7 with support from PCCs and other RNs

Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)

Weekend rotation required as needed

On-call required as needed

Floating may occur between like units and campuses within 20 miles; cross-campus floating is rare

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Active RN license in Tennessee (TN) or a valid Compact (NLC) license currently in hand — no pending licensure accepted

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required; 3+ years preferred

Level I Trauma Center experience required

Large hospital experience required

At least one completed prior travel assignment required — first-time travelers are not eligible unless they have 3+ years of recent experience

ADN degree or higher required for this position

Driver's License required for consideration

Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted

If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — RTO requests will not be accepted after an offer has been extended

Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return
