C. Norris Manufacturing is a well-established, rapidly growing heavy equipment manufacturer in the Akron/Canton, Ohio area. We produce a wide range of excavator attachments but specialize in fabricating custom excavator booms/sticks for various OEMS for projects all over North America. C. Norris Manufacturing is seeking a skilled and detail oriented LEAD MANUAL MACHINIST to add to our team to assist in running our machining operations and support production.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate portable line boring machines (in house, no travel required).
- Inspect and verify part conformance to specifications.
- Maintain process, measure parts, adjust settings to ensure product conformance.
- Operate manual lathe and horizontal boring mill.
- Conduct and maintain preventative maintenance.
- Collaborate with plant manager, mechanic foreman, and weld shop foreman in regards to scheduling and engineering to support production flow.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior experience with manual machines, experience with portable line boring equipment a plus.
- Must be able to read blueprints.
- Welding experience helpful.
- Willing to work overtime as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
