Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the restaurant run smoothly during your shift, including managing staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members to ensure efficient operations.
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) systems to ensure accurate transactions and reporting.
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
- Assist in kitchen management by supporting cooks and ensuring food quality standards are met.
- Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to foster a positive work environment and enhance performance.
- Collaborate with upper management to implement operational strategies that drive profitability.
Experience
- Previous experience in restaurant management or food service management is preferred.
- Strong skills in team management and supervising staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with inventory control processes and kitchen management practices.
- Proficient in POS systems and basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations is essential.
