About the Role:
Join a team that takes pride in offering premium deli meats, cheeses, and prepared foods. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our customers receive excellent service and products that keep them coming back.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Slice deli meats and cheeses to order, maintaining precise portions and high standards of freshness. Prepare sandwiches, salads, and other deli items according to recipes and customer preferences. Assist with preparing fried foods while following proper cooking procedures.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly, knowledgeable service by answering questions, offering recommendations, and assisting customers with their selections. Help create a positive and engaging shopping experience.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of deli products, including ingredients and flavor profiles, to make informed recommendations tailored to customer needs.
- Cleanliness & Food Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace. Follow all food safety guidelines and ensure equipment and surfaces are properly cleaned and maintained.
- Inventory & Stocking: Monitor inventory levels, restock displays, rotate products, and assist with deliveries. Track supplies and notify management of any shortages.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all items meet company standards for freshness, taste, and presentation. Perform routine quality checks and remove any substandard products.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service or retail preferred, especially in a deli setting
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a team environment
- Ability to maintain quality and accuracy in a fast-paced setting
