General Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed
- Monitor patient status and respond to clinical changes promptly
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with policies and regulations
- Educate patients and families on care plans, treatment, and recovery
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Role-Specific HighlightsRN – Cardiac Neurology Telemetry
- Monitor patients with combined cardiac and neurological conditions
- Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond to acute events
- Support stroke protocols and cardiac care pathways
RN – ICU Stepdown
- Provide intermediate-level care for patients transitioning from ICU
- Manage complex cases requiring close monitoring and intervention
- Support respiratory, cardiac, and post-critical care recovery
Respiratory Therapist (RT)
- Deliver respiratory treatments and airway management
- Manage ventilators and oxygen therapy
- Collaborate with ICU, stepdown, and telemetry teams
Physical Therapist (PT)
- Evaluate and treat patients to restore mobility and function
- Develop individualized rehabilitation plans
- Support recovery following surgery, illness, or injury
RN – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Assist in cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments
- Collaborate with surgeons and perioperative teams
- Provide pre- and post-operative patient care
Qualifications
- Registered Nurses:
- Active RN license (Florida or compact state eligibility)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
- Physical Therapist (PT):
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Respiratory Therapist:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
- Active state licensure required
For all roles:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced certifications (ACLS, CCRN, etc.) preferred depending on specialty
- Relevant clinical experience preferred; new graduates may be considered for select roles
