Responsibilities
- Support licensed physical and occupational therapists by preparing treatment areas, equipment, and supplies for therapy sessions.
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions.
- Assist patients with mobility, including patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques, ensuring safety at all times.
- Help implement therapy plans by guiding patients through prescribed exercises and activities under supervision.
- Monitor patient safety during treatments, including heavy lifting, and post-acute care procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients to provide encouragement and support throughout their rehabilitation journey.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the therapy area.
