Like cars and working with your hands? We’ll pay you to learn a high‑income skill in a clean, professional shop.
About Us:
Upstate Auto Styling is a busy tint / PPF / ceramic shop in [CITY, STATE]. We care about quality, honesty, and taking care of customers so well they never go anywhere else.
What You’ll Do:
- Start as a shop helper: wash/prep vehicles, protect interiors, clean glass, remove panels, keep the bay spotless.
- Learn to cut, shrink, and install window film the right way on practice glass, then real cars.
- Assist senior installers on full tint, PPF, and coating jobs.
- Follow checklists and shop standards so every car leaves better than it came in.
What We Offer:
- Paid, hands‑on training (no experience in tint required).
- Clear path: Helper → Junior Installer → Lead Installer with higher pay at each level.
- Steady full‑time hours in a climate‑controlled, organized shop.
- Work with people who actually care about doing things right.
You Might Be a Fit If:
- You show up on time, every time, and follow through on what you say.
- You take pride in your work, even when no one’s watching.
- You’re comfortable on your feet, using tools, and doing detailed hand work.
- You listen, take coaching well, and want to get better every week.
- You keep your phone put away while you’re on the clock.
This Job Is NOT for You If:
- You’re often late, miss shifts, or bounce from job to job.
- You argue every time you get feedback.
- You just want to “try it” for a couple of weeks.
How To Apply:
Apply through Indeed and answer the 4 short questions. Incomplete applications won’t be considered.
We’ll review applications, invite the best fits to a short group interview at the shop, then select candidates for a paid working interview where you’ll try a real window with our team watching.
Pay: $13.27 - $19.03 per hour
Application Question(s):
- Tell us about a time you had to show up somewhere early, consistently (school, work, sports, military, etc.). How often were you late, and what did you do when you were? Be specific.
- Describe the last time you made a mistake at work or on a project. What happened, and what did you do afterward?
- In the past 12 months, how many jobs have you had, and why did you leave each one? Please list approximate dates and reasons.
- Tint work is detailed and repetitive. Give an example of a job, chore, or hobby where you’ve done the same task over and over but still kept your standards high. What kept you going?
