Maintenance Engineer – Full Time
Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Full time, five days per week (includes weekends and holidays as needed)
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Engineer to help keep our property safe, functional, and welcoming for guests and staff alike. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in their work, and can work both independently and as part of a team.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the physical condition of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas, ensuring everything is running smoothly so our guests can have a comfortable stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the functionality and safety of guest rooms, public areas, and operational spaces
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests and team work orders
- Perform a variety of repairs including carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, painting, and HVAC
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and address issues proactively
- Document completed repairs and report items requiring follow-up
- Handle emergency situations such as power outages or other urgent maintenance needs
- Keep engineering areas clean, organized, and safe
- Install, relocate, or assist with upgrades to equipment and systems as needed
- Support energy conservation efforts throughout the property
- Assist with renovations, outlet additions, and installation of electrical or mechanical systems
Skills & Requirements:
- Previous maintenance or engineering experience in a similar role
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read technical manuals and basic drawings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as part of a five-day work week
