Job Description
Shippers are responsible for accurately shipping products to route trucks for local fresh deliveries. This position is responsible for ensuring that product count matches the daily production totals. Dividing products accurately according to daily customer order totals for each route, while working with a daily deadline. Accuracy and organization are key skills to be successful at this position.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain an accurate count on all products to be shipped out
- Assemble route driver loads by daily deadline for delivery
- Recognize and organize product by truck orders
- Read and interpret reports
- In the case of a shortage, ability to substitute or evenly cut routes
- Accurate count on products in freezer for surplus product
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company policies and GMPs
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational Skills
- Ability to lift and move 50lbs
- Knowledge of DSD operations and distribution a plus
- Ability to accurately process numerical data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
