Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our Concierge Coastal Practice, providing personalized, comprehensive healthcare services to a diverse patient population. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical history assessments and physical examinations for new and returning patients.
- Develop individualized care plans based on clinical evaluations, incorporating preventive care and chronic disease management.
- Utilize EHR systems such as Epic and other EMR platforms to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions across a broad spectrum of specialties including family medicine, endocrinology, cardiology, pulmonology, dermatology, immunology, and geriatrics.
- Perform or oversee diagnostic evaluations including medical imaging (CT scans), laboratory tests, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance, lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and disease prevention strategies.
- Coordinate with specialists for referrals involving maternal-fetal medicine, oncology, neurocritical care, pediatric critical & intensive care, or other subspecialties as needed.
- Engage in clinical research or participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with NCQA standards and HIPAA regulations.
- Supervise or assist with procedures such as suturing, IV infusions, wound care, ostomy care, or pain management techniques including acute pain protocols.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain high standards of aseptic technique during procedures.
- Participate in discharge planning and post-acute care management to ensure seamless patient transitions across healthcare settings.
Experience
- Proven experience in primary care or family medicine with a strong foundation in outpatient clinical practice.
- Familiarity with advanced EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms is required;
- Demonstrated competence in managing diverse medical conditions across age groups including pediatrics, geriatrics, and maternal-fetal medicine.
- Experience working within hospital settings or Level I/II trauma centers is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of specialty areas such as endocrinology, cardiology (including catheterization), pulmonology (ventilator management), infectious disease care, behavioral health (including PTSD), and palliative medicine enhances the ability to provide comprehensive care.
- Ability to perform or supervise diagnostic procedures like CT scans or nuclear medicine imaging is desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical coding (CPT/ICD) and documentation standards necessary for accurate billing and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient service delivery and interdisciplinary collaboration.
