Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a CDL A Driver and take charge of delivering freight safely and efficiently across various routes. As a CDL A Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods over the road (OTR), ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, and providing exceptional service to our customers. Your expertise in logistics cargo handling, route driving, and vehicle operation will be vital in maintaining our reputation for reliability and excellence.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks such as tractor-trailers on OTR routes and local deliveries
- Load and unload freight using equipment like forklifts
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries
- Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit while adhering to logistics cargo handling standards
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Skills
- Excellent driving record with experience in delivery driving across diverse routes including flatbed, tanker, roll-off truck, or dump truck operations
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for freight safety and compliance
- Ability to pass background check
- Must have valid Clas A License and DOT Medical Certification
- Preferred H1C hoisting license
Pay: From $27.00 per hour
