Overview
Family Way Logistics is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious CDL Class A Driver to join our growing team. This position involves hauling dry van freight within a 500-mile radius, allowing drivers to be home daily. We are looking for someone who is dependable, professional, and committed to providing safe and on-time deliveries while maintaining compliance with all DOT regulations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle.
- Transport freight within a 500-mile radius.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Ensure all loads are secured and delivered safely.
- Maintain accurate ELD logs and required paperwork.
- Follow all DOT/FMCSA regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding load status and any delays.
- Report maintenance issues or equipment concerns promptly.
- Provide professional customer service at pickup and delivery locations.
- Keep equipment clean and in good operating condition.
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- At least 2 years of verifiable CDL driving experience (preferred).
- Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety.
- Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Experience using Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a professional attitude.
- Dependable, punctual, and customer-service oriented.
Pay: $1,000.00 - $2,000.00 per week
