ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Shipping/Receiving Department is responsible for daily receipt, inspection, count validation, data entry, stocking of warehouse, supplying material to production floor, staging and shipment of material to other Covercraft facilities and receiving FG from other Covercraft facilities.
Level 1 -Stocking and Retrieval
- With general supervision will move material within the warehouse. This includes scanning items into stock, stocking items from production into warehouse locations and transferring pallets from other satellite locations as trucks arrive; entering warehouse receipt data into data system; pull orders on pallets or carts for processing as needed.
Make MPK and PLT list as needed. Assist in finding lost items in the warehouse. Run various reports in Mandis as needed. Organize and Clean warehouse according to FIFO.
Level 1 – Receiver 1
- With general supervision, unload freight trucks and small-package trucks, receive and stock incoming materials, supply all departments with necessary materials; organize and load trucks with pallet jacks or forklifts for shipments to other Covercraft locations.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with hands-on knowledge of shipping & receiving operations.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or similar platforms, and MRP software.
- Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely and effectively; forklift certification is preferred.
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes including stocking, order fulfillment, picking & packing, and load & unload activities.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and verifying shipment quantities accurately.
- Experience with e-commerce fulfillment processes is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards. Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
