Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated effectively
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while maintaining genuine guest engagement
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper food handling, sanitation, and presentation standards are met
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation regulations
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately through cashiering systems like OpenTable or POS terminals
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience with a focus on food service or hospitality is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently serve multiple tables during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while providing exceptional customer service
- Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous for understanding food preparation and presentation standards
- Demonstrated guest service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and order calculations
