local work mainly Rialto to San Diego - 2 loads per day

Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial trucks on local delivery routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Load, secure, and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety during transit and delivery
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules promptly
- Transport various types of freight, including refrigerated trailers, hazardous materials (Hazmat), flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized cargo such as automobile transportation or dangerous goods
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records in accordance with FMCSA regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering freight professionally and addressing any delivery-related inquiries or issues
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with route driving within local or regional areas
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for truck loading/unloading
- Prior experience in delivery driving or freight transportation involving load & unload procedures using various truck types
- Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems to optimize route efficiency
