Overview
We are seeking a motivated CNC Turret Punch Press Set Up Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and operating turret punch presses to produce precise metal components. Your expertise in machine setup, tooling, and quality measurement will ensure efficient production while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Now hiring: 1st shift 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM, 2nd shift 3:30 PM- 12:00 AM & 3rd shift 11:00 PM- 7:00 AM
Requirements:
- Strong blueprint and technical drawing interpretation
- Material knowledge (i.e. galvanized steel, aluminum, stainless)
- Proficient in understanding precision measuring tools such as calipers
- Ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude and problem solving
- Proficient in mathematics including geometry/ trigonometry
- Able to accurately estimate project schedule timelines
- Able to lift 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, walk, squat, bend, and twist
- Able to work in extreme heat and cold environments
Responsibilities:
- Set up CNC turret punch machines, including program loading and retrieval, tooling selection, and material preparation
- Inspect and maintain tooling and equipment (punches, dies, forming tools), proactively diagnosing and resolving wear, misfeeds, or inefficiencies
- Perform in-process quality checks using precision measurement tools and ensure parts meet blueprint specifications
- Interpret technical drawings and optimize punch patterns for efficiency and accuracy
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records
- Work independently while coordinating with engineering, fabrication, and supervisory teams to meet production goals
- Plan and organize workflow to maintain consistent throughput, efficiency, and high-quality output
Preferred but Not Required:
- Experience editing G-Codes
- CAM/CAD software
- Forklift operational
- Project management
