Networks Northwest/Northwest Michigan Works! is seeking a full-time Career Advisor to help individuals achieve their employment and career goals throughout Northwest Michigan.
This position is especially appealing to candidates who live between the Petoskey and Traverse City areas and value flexibility. The role offers a hybrid schedule with one remote workday per week, with the remaining workdays based at our Petoskey and Traverse City locations according to customer and program needs.
As a Career Advisor, you will:
- Provide career assessments and individualized career planning
- Assist customers with job searches, resumes, interviews, and work readiness
- Connect individuals with education, training, and community resources
- Build relationships with employers and community partners
- Support customers in overcoming barriers and achieving successful employment outcomes
The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and customer-focused, with the ability to manage responsibilities across two service center locations. Experience in education, human services, case management, or a related field is preferred, along with strong communication, coaching, and customer service skills. An associate degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Knowledge of the local labor market and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace are also important.
