Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Telemedicine Physician to join our innovative healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive virtual patient assessments, including history taking, vital signs review, and physical examinations via telehealth platforms.
- Diagnose a wide range of acute and chronic conditions utilizing clinical judgment and EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks.
- Prescribe medications, including injections and other treatments, adhering to DEA regulations and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals across specialties to coordinate patient care plans and ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Manage documentation accurately within EMR/EHR systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards and ICD coding requirements (ICD-9, ICD-10).
- Perform triage to prioritize urgent cases and determine appropriate levels of care or referrals for in-person evaluation when necessary.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and data collection efforts to advance telehealth practices and improve patient care quality.
Experience
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with active medical licensure in relevant states.
- Proven telehealth experience with familiarity using EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks.
- Critical care experience in settings like ICU, Level I or Level II trauma centers, or emergency rooms is highly desirable.
- Must be licensed in New York
- Must be medicare eligible
- Demonstrated expertise in acute pain management, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, or hospital medicine.
- Hands-on experience with procedures such as suturing, injection administration, airway management, ventilator use, and diagnostic test interpretation.
- Background in primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, or specialized fields like geriatrics or pediatrics is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding standards (ICD-9/10), and HIPAA compliance.
