Experiential marketing agency Encore Worldwide seeks an experienced field marketing pro to join our team as soon as possible as an Activation Manager. If you have at least three years of experience in hiring, training and managing experiential brand ambassadors in multiple markets, we want to hear from you!
The position will begin as a full-time contract position, evolving to a full-time employee position with full benefits following a short trial period.
Note that although the position is remote, we are primarily interested in candidates that live in or near Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, Detroit, MI or Orlando, FL. There will be occasional requirements to visit event sites within your respective market area.
Job Description
The Activation Manager oversees field marketing and experiential programs for our Verizon client within assigned markets. The Activation Manager is responsible for end-to-end event activation, including asset sourcing, vendor & staffing agency management, Brand Ambassador training, and day of event activation. The Activation Manager ensures all activations are fully staffed, brand-aligned, and executed to established standards of operational excellence. Serving as the primary point of contact between internal stakeholders, agency partners, and on-the-ground Brand Ambassadors. The Activation Manager plays a critical role in delivering consistent, high-quality field execution.
Staffing, Recruitment & Training
- Recruit, hire, train, and onboard Brand Ambassadors across assigned markets
- Build and maintain a reliable, high-performing bench of Brand Ambassadors to support activation needs
- Ensure all Brand Ambassadors complete required training and brand onboarding prior to execution
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and quality control to maintain consistent brand standards
Agency, Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage staffing partners and vendors to ensure all events are fully staffed and execution-ready
- Serve as the primary point of contact for agency coordination, staffing confirmations, and issue resolution
- Hold partners accountable to staffing timelines, training requirements, and execution standards
Event Activation, Production & Systems
- Oversee execution of regional field marketing activations, including in-store events, street teams, and community-based events
- Manage logistics for all event materials, including production coordination, shipping, tracking, and on-site readiness
- Partner with the Account Services team to develop Event Preview documents, training materials, and run-of-show guidance
- Ensure Brand Ambassador teams receive all required materials in advance and are fully equipped for day-of execution
- Manage day-of event operations, including staff check-ins, client communications, and real-time issue resolution
- Ensure all events are accurately uploaded, staffed, and actively managed within the Network Ninja event portal
- Monitor real-time staffing updates, attendance confirmations, and field communications through Network Ninja
- Ensure all events are fully recapped in Network Ninja, with complete data, photos, and required documentation submitted on time
- Proactively troubleshoot in-market execution challenges and implement immediate corrective actions as needed
- Visit activations to oversee, spot-check and step-in as needed
Asset Management & Logistics
- Manage regional inventory of event assets, uniforms, signage, and promotional materials
- Coordinate production, shipping, tracking, storage, and return of assets across markets
- Maintain accurate asset trackers and ensure brand compliance for every event
Financial Management & Budget Oversight
- Manage regional and event-level budgets to ensure programs remain on plan
- Review, approve, and reconcile agency invoices, vendor invoices, and expense submissions
- Oversee Brand Ambassador payroll, including time verification and compliance with pay policies
- Coordinate timely vendor payments and resolve billing discrepancies
Reporting & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Review event recaps, staffing reports and performance metrics
- Ensure data accuracy across systems, including staffing, payroll, asset tracking, and event reporting
