Position Overview
Insight Global is seeking Construction Superintendents to support large-scale commercial construction projects in the Philadelphia and Northern Virginia markets. The Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations, maintain project schedules, enforce safety standards, coordinate subcontractors, and serve as the primary on-site leader throughout the life of the project.
Responsibilities
- Lead all on-site construction activities while maintaining a safe and productive jobsite.
- Enforce project safety requirements and ensure subcontractor compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Investigate and report accidents or incidents and assist with site safety inspections.
- Maintain quality standards throughout all phases of construction.
- Keep detailed daily logs documenting site activities, progress, and conditions.
- Manage punch lists and closeout activities through owner and architect acceptance.
- Collaborate with project management to develop and maintain project schedules.
- Ensure proper construction methods and sequencing are followed.
- Coordinate and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Review work orders, tickets, and field documentation for accuracy.
- Identify potential project challenges early and help implement solutions.
- Coordinate temporary facilities, utilities, and logistics required for project execution.
- Track and expedite long-lead materials and critical project items.
- Support successful project delivery through close collaboration with project teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent construction experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years of commercial construction experience with a general contractor.
- Experience with tenant improvements, renovations, service work, occupied facilities, or fast-paced projects is preferred.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction means, methods, and best practices.
- Experience leading field teams and subcontractors on active job sites.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Bluebeam, Adobe, and related construction software.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay: $40.00 - $65.00 per hour
