Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Multi-Skilled Carpenter to join our team, bringing a passion for craftsmanship and a broad skill set to a variety of construction and restoration projects. Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects.
- Perform framing, drywall installation, door hanging, cabinet installation, and trim carpentry with attention to detail.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for woodworking, metal stud framing, roofing, siding, flooring installation, tile laying, and fixture installation.
- Conduct concrete forming, masonry work, plastering, stucco application, rebar installation, and water damage restoration as needed.
- Operate woodworking machines safely for fabrication and custom woodwork projects while adhering to power tool safety protocols.
- Assist with remodeling efforts including electrical wiring, plumbing connections, painting, caulking, mold remediation, and general handyman tasks.
- Support heavy lifting and material handling using appropriate equipment; ensure safe practices on construction sites at all times.
- Fabricate or modify materials according to project specifications; interpret schematics for precise assembly or repair work.
- Contribute to restoration projects involving siding replacement, roofing repairs, water damage remediation, or structural repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment; document project progress through reports and logs; communicate effectively with team members.
Experience
- Proven experience in residential carpentry or general construction environments with a strong understanding of building processes.
- Skilled in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings or schematics accurately.
- Hands-on experience with construction estimating and planning is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with wood construction materials such as framing lumber, plywood, trim components, cabinetry materials, and siding products.
- Knowledge of power tools including saws (circular saws, miter saws), drills, sanders; understanding of power tool safety standards is essential.
- Experience working on diverse projects such as remodeling, restoration industry jobs (including mold remediation), roofing repairs or installations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining quality standards throughout the job process.
- Strong background in construction site safety practices including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Additional skills in electrical or plumbing work are advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn new trades is valued.
