POSITION SUMMARY & ADVANCEMENT:
We are seeking a sophisticated, analytical Pre-Litigation Attorney to manage a portfolio of high-quality injury claims from inception through resolution or litigation referral.
Because of our boutique structure, this position offers distinct professional advantages. You will work closely with senior leadership, offering immediate exposure to complex legal issues. Furthermore, this role features a defined pathway for advancement;successful pre-litigation attorneys will have the opportunity to transition into our active litigation practice, gaining hands-on experience with civil complaints, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Case Evaluation & Legal Strategy
- Conduct comprehensive liability, coverage, and damages evaluations for complex injury claims.
- Formulate innovative case strategies to uncover non-obvious avenues of recovery and maximize file value.
- Analyze medical records, bills, and complex treatment plans to effectively assess future damages.
- Identify the need for, retain, and collaborate with medical and technical experts during the pre-suit phase.
Advocacy & Negotiation
- Draft and review comprehensive, high-value demand packages.
- Formally negotiate bodily injury claims with insurance counsel and senior adjusters.
- Prepare Government Entity Claims, monitor strict statutes of limitations, and take pre-suit depositions or defend examinations under oath (EUOs) when necessary.
Client & Team Management
- Serve as the primary legal contact for clients, providing clear, compassionate, and professional guidance regarding their treatment and claim status.
- Provide legal oversight and direction to case managers and support staff to ensure files progress efficiently.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.)
- Active California Bar License in good standing (Required).
- 1–3+ years of attorney experience, with a strong preference for plaintiff-side personal injury or civil litigation experience.
- Strong acumen in medical terminology and bodily injury evaluation.
- Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and written communication skills.
- Ability to think critically and approach legal issues from non-traditional angles.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work full-time in person at our Los Angeles office.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
