Misty Mountain Learning Academy Montessori is looking for a kind, dependable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our Montessori classroom.
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and understands the importance of creating a calm, respectful, and nurturing classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead Montessori teacher with the daily classroom routine
- Help maintain a peaceful, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Support children while encouraging independence
- Supervise children and help maintain a safe environment
- Assist with classroom preparation, cleanup, and materials
- Communicate professionally with teachers, children, and families
- Follow the direction and classroom procedures established by the lead teacher and school
What We’re Looking For
- Dependable and punctual
- Patient, calm, and caring with children
- Professional and able to work well as part of a team
- Willing to learn and follow the Montessori approach
- Previous experience working with young children is preferred
- Montessori experience is a plus, but not required for the right candidate
- Must be able to complete all required background checks and school employment requirements
