Maintenance Technician
Glendive, MT | Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM | Pay Beginning at $21.05 per hour

Glendive Medical Center is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep. This position supports the safe and efficient operation of hospital buildings, equipment, and grounds by assisting with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general maintenance tasks.
What You'll Do

Inspect equipment, systems, and facilities to identify maintenance needs.

Troubleshoot issues and perform repairs on building systems and equipment.

Complete general maintenance projects including drywall repair, painting, flooring, doors, fixtures, and other facility repairs.

Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.

Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of hospital facilities and grounds.

Order and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and materials.

Utilize blueprints, manuals, and work orders to plan and complete repairs.

Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous maintenance, facilities, construction, or related experience preferred.

On-the-job training provided.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
Skills & Abilities

Working knowledge of general building maintenance, repair, and construction practices.

Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Commitment to maintaining a safe and professional healthcare environment.
Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing.

Ability to work in confined or awkward spaces and at varying heights.

Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 100 pounds.

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
