Licensed Esthetician
Overview
Downtown Esthetics is seeking a licensed esthetician to join our established skin care practice in downtown Ocean Springs. We are looking for someone who is professional, dependable, confident in the treatment room, and genuinely interested in building long-term client relationships.
This is a commission-based W-2 employee position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing customized facial treatments, educating clients about professional skin care, recommending appropriate home-care products, and contributing to a polished, team-oriented environment.

- Other esthetic services offered by Downtown Esthetics based on training and experience
Additional training may be provided for qualified candidates who demonstrate strong fundamentals, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional esthetic services according to Downtown Esthetics protocols and standards
- Complete client consultations and review relevant contraindications before treatment
- Customize services according to each client’s skin type, concerns, and goals
- Educate clients on treatment plans, aftercare, and professional home-care products
- Recommend and sell appropriate retail products without using high-pressure sales tactics
- Maintain accurate client notes and treatment records
- Prepare and reset the treatment room before and after each appointment
- Properly clean, disinfect, and store tools, equipment, linens, and treatment supplies
- Assist with maintaining treatment-room inventory and notifying management when supplies are running low
- Follow all sanitation, safety, licensing, and workplace standards
- Maintain a polished, professional appearance and provide a consistently high level of client care
- Arrive on time and remain dependable for scheduled appointments and assigned availability
- Participate in training, team meetings, promotional events, and content creation when reasonably requested
- Support the business through client retention, rebooking, retail education, and professional conduct
Qualifications
- Current Mississippi esthetics or cosmetology license required
- Previous hands-on esthetics experience preferred
- Strong understanding of skin analysis, sanitation, contraindications, and treatment customization
- Comfortable performing or learning advanced facial modalities
- Strong communication and client-service skills
- Professional, dependable, organized, and receptive to feedback
- Able to work independently while also functioning as part of a team
- Willing to help build and maintain a consistent clientele
- Comfortable recommending professional skin care products and treatment plans
- Availability during the business’s primary operating hours, including some Saturdays
Compensation
- Commission-based W-2 employment
- Estimated annual earning potential of $35,000–$60,000, based on service production, clientele, retail sales, and schedule
- Service commission

Schedule
Downtown Esthetics is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Scheduling is based on appointment demand, employee availability, and business needs. Candidates should have consistent weekly availability and flexibility to accommodate clients throughout the week.
