Gracie's Adventure Club is seeking an experienced, dependable, and nurturing Lead Toddler Teacher to join our Little Cruisers campus. We are looking for someone who is confident leading a classroom, enjoys working with toddlers, and understands how to create a structured, engaging environment that supports children's social, emotional, and developmental growth.
This position serves children approximately 24-36 months and helps prepare them for a successful transition into our Early Preschool program.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage a toddler classroom each day.
- Create a warm, safe, and engaging learning environment.
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans, sensory activities, music, art, and gross motor experiences.
- Foster language development, independence, and positive social skills.
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and licensing standards.
- Complete daily communication with families through Brightwheel.
- Work collaboratively with administration and fellow teachers.
- Build positive relationships with children and families.
Qualifications
Required:
- Previous experience leading a toddler classroom in a licensed childcare center.
- Ability to independently manage daily classroom routines.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and professionalism.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with young children throughout the day.
Preferred:
- CDA, Child Development coursework, or Early Childhood Education background.
- First Aid/CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Familiarity with Alabama licensing requirements.
