Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and brake repairs efficiently to meet quality standards.
- Work on diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics tasks such as air brake systems and diesel engine repairs.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to execute repairs with precision.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and automotive electrical system diagrams for complex repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and ensuring vehicle safety and reliability after service.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain, transmissions, suspension systems, and electrical components.
- Ability to diagnose issues using automotive diagnostics tools effectively.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service technology.
- Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), auto body repair, auto estimating, and GM vehicles is a plus.
- Experience working with schematics for mechanical systems repair and understanding of automotive electrical systems.
- Valid certification or license in automotive repair or diesel mechanics is desirable; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry standards.
