Middle School General Studies Teacher (Grades 5–8)
Yeshiva Derech Hatorah is seeking a dedicated, organized, and engaging General Studies teacher for grades 5–8 for the upcoming school year. We are looking for an educator who can create a structured and positive classroom environment while helping students grow academically, socially, and personally.
The ideal candidate will bring strong classroom management skills, professionalism, flexibility, and the ability to connect with middle school students in a meaningful and respectful way.

Schedule:
Monday–Thursday
2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Responsibilities
Teach an engaging lesson daily
Plan and implement engaging, organized, and age-appropriate lessons
Differentiate instruction to support a range of academic abilities and learning styles
Foster critical thinking, reading comprehension, writing skills, and problem-solving abilities
Establish and maintain clear classroom routines, expectations, and structure
Create a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment
Track student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
Collaborate with administration, co-teachers, and support staff
Participate in meetings, planning, and school initiatives as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (Education or related field preferred)
Prior teaching or classroom experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage a classroom effectively while building positive relationships with students
Comfortable working in a team-oriented school environment
Ability to balance warmth, structure, and accountability
