Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, personalized service to meet their needs
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges with accuracy
- Manage cash handling procedures, including counting cash drawers and balancing registers at shift end
- Assist with merchandising by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are attractively presented
- Conduct product demos and upselling to promote featured items and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory checks
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions promptly and courteously
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is required , especially within grocery stores or similar environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures ensures smooth transaction handling
- Strong communication skills in bilingual settings enhance customer interactions for diverse audiences
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail math supports effective store operations
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales calculations
- Experience with product demos and upselling techniques to maximize sales potential
