This Position reports to the Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor and or Assigned Administrator.
Job description:
We are looking for someone with a strong maintenance background and handyman work. Our ideal candidate will help us keep our properties in excellent condition. The candidate will enjoy working with their hands, be mechanically and handyman-inclined, and have excellent customer service skills. Mi Casa Su Casa is looking for a candidate that is highly motivated and hardworking, with the desire to learn and grow with the organization.
The maintenance staff will work directly with the Facilities & Maintenance department to perform daily maintenance repairs and upgrades to Mi Casa Su Casa Care Homes and Administrative office. Most of the work that is needed to be completed would be residential repairs such as: drywall repairs, interior/exterior painting, patch jobs, electrical outlets, light fixture replacement, plumbing issues, lawn maintenance, troubleshooting appliances etc.
Duties:
- Ensure all facility premises are safe and functional for Mi Casa Su Casa clients and Staff.
- Complete maintenance work orders from Maintenance Supervisor and Group Home Managers on a timely basis and in a manner that maintains facility compliance.
- Keep all maintenance equipment in good repair.
- Utilize protective equipment, when applicable.
- Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment.
- Complete all maintenance and repair tasks as directed by Maintenance Supervisor.
- Performs inspections on common areas
Key Qualifications:
- Ability to operate powered equipment such as mowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.
- Excellent communication, time management and organization skills
- A high level of self-awareness, receptivity to change and integrity.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lb.
- Ability to stoop and bend.
- Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time including maneuvering up and down ladders and stairs.
Knowledge of:
- Customer service principles
- Methods and tools used in assigned area of responsibility.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Experience:
- Maintenance: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
