Department Summary:
The Infusion and Day Treatment Program is a specialized outpatient care initiative serving patients from infancy through adulthood. It offers an alternative to inpatient hospitalization for individuals requiring infusion therapies and innovative medical day treatments. The program emphasizes a safe, secure, and family-centered environment, fostering strong, ongoing relationships between patients, families, and a dedicated healthcare team.
Common Therapies Provided:-
Blood and blood product transfusions

Emerging therapies, complex infusion therapies, and gene therapies

Metabolic enzyme replacement

Food and drug allergy challenges and desensitization

Management of outpatient PICC line complications

Diagnostic endocrine testing

Outpatient new onset diabetes program

Outpatient sickle cell fever and pain programs
Key Responsibilities:-
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care

Administer infusions, provide day treatments, and offer clinical support in an outpatient setting

Work a schedule (36 hours/week) with a mix of 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts, including rotating days/evenings and every third weekend
Minimum Qualifications
Education:-
A Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience:-
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience; pediatric experience preferred

Infusion experience and IV skills preferred.
Licensure/ Certifications:-
Current Massachusetts license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
