Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair.
- Greet customers warmly, taking orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties efficiently, ensuring accurate transactions and register balancing.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation and service areas, adhering to food handling protocols.
- Assist in food preparation and serving, including light food handling tasks within the café environment.
- Use time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods, ensuring prompt service.
- Engage with customers to provide exceptional service, answer questions about menu items, and promote sales opportunities.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in food service or the food industry is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
