Barista’s are responsible for providing pleasant, prompt and efficient guest service, serving coffee and tea beverages and processing payment transactions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for prompt, and courteous service to all guests to ensure satisfaction.

Performs necessary tasks to service guests including but not limited to taking and filling all food and drink orders and assists in maintaining dining area.
- Develops an understanding of coffee and tea regions and the various differences in flavor and taste.
- Ensures that all guests are educated on our products and services.

Know and communicate information about venue, menu, prices and ingredients.
- Sells and serves baked goods and miscellaneous food items.
- Respectfully requests and receives payments from guests as required.
- Follow all company drink recipes, procedures and health regulations at all times.

Reports all guest complaints to manager on duty.

Must attend and be certified in all applicable training programs required.

This position may require cross-training of both front and back of the house daily operations of the Food and Beverage Department.

All other departmental duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum age requirement is 21.

Must have excellent guest service skills.

Minimum of six (6) months of relevant cash handling, guest service, and beverage service at a coffee shop or related field.
- Must be able to work flexible schedule as needed.
- Must be able to multitask, and carry out tasks with or without supervision.

Must have knowledge of proper food handling and health and safety regulations.
- Must be able communicate in English including reading and writing. Bilingual a plus.

Must be able to obtain and retain a gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL:

Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.

Frequently required to use hands to finger motions, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands.

Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Environment may be smoke filled and fast paced with moderate to high noise levels on the casino floor, low to moderate in the kitchen.

Exposed daily to flashing lights and ringing bells.
