Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial concepts and demonstrate proficiency in various accounting software. This role involves managing financial records, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance with securities law. The Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Quickbooks to conduct technical accounting tasks, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Monitor cash flow with daily deposits report
- Monitor sales margins with weekly sales report
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Manage budgeting processes, including forecasting and variance analysis.
- Oversee payroll functions to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Utilize Quickbooks software to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant public accounting standards and securities law.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in budgeting, financial services, or public accounting is preferred.
- Strong technical accounting skills with a solid understanding of financial concepts.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex financial information.
