Overview
Scope Health and Wellness is seeking to expand our dynamic mental health team in the Columbus, OH area as a part of our clinical team, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, evidence-based care to diverse youth populations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to deliver psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and behavioral health services in an outpatient setting. You will work closely with school-aged children, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and group therapy. Your expertise will help empower clients on their journey toward mental wellness while adhering to clinical documentation standards and HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and other interventions as needed.
- Provide direct support through individual and group counseling sessions, both in-person and via telehealth platforms.
- Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure client safety during emergencies.
- Document all clinical interactions accurately and promptly within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR), maintaining compliance with clinical documentation standards and medical terminology.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including case managers, qualified mental health specialists (QMHS), other providers, and families, to coordinate care plans.
- Engage in ongoing research and professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling and behavioral health interventions.
Experience
- Must be a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with unrestricted privilege to practice counseling in the state of Ohio with active licensure in good standing.
- Proven experience working with children and adolescents.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, dance/movement therapy, or art therapy is a plus.
- Experience providing crisis intervention, trauma-focused therapy, or grief counseling preferred.
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and clinical documentation standards required.
- Prior telehealth experience utilizing HIPAA-compliant platforms is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions and co-occurring disorders enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive care.

Pay: $68,395.02 - $82,368.20 per year
