Receptionist / Patient Coordinator

Eye Clinic of Sandpoint is looking for a full-time Office Receptionist / Patient Coordinator to join our team. This position primarily works from our back reception area, helping coordinate patient care, schedules, phone calls, and the day-to-day flow of the clinic. You will also help cover the front reception desk when needed.

Essential Functions
- Greet and communicate with patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phones and assist patients with questions, scheduling, and messages
- Coordinate patient appointments and help keep doctors' schedules full and organized
- Understand and manage multiple doctors' schedules
- Work closely with technicians, doctors, and front office staff to keep patient flow running smoothly
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out when needed
- Provide occasional coverage at the front reception desk
- Accurately enter and update patient information in our electronic medical record system
- Assist with basic medical testing or other clinical duties as trained
- Pay attention to the small details that help the office run efficiently
- Be willing to jump in and help wherever needed—we work as a team!

You should be comfortable communicating clearly and professionally with patients, doctors, coworkers, and outside medical offices, both verbally and in writing.

We have a close-knit office and are looking for someone who works well with others, is willing to help when things get busy, and contributes to a positive work environment.

- Strong computer skills and ability to learn an electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong customer service and communication skills

- Strong interpersonal skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office
- Previous medical office experience is helpful but not required
