TITLE: Administrative Coordinator, NSG
DEPARTMENT: Nursing Admin.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelors degree preferred.
License/Certifications: Current registration as a licensed registered nurse in New York State.
Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years experience in which clinical competence and
administrative management have been demonstrated, preferred.
Assumes leadership role.
Responsible to: CNO, Nurse Director; Director of Inpatient Services and VP/Patient and Clinical Services.
Responsible for: All behaviors described in position summary/duties.
Summary/Duties: The Administrative Coordinator performs the primary functions of a professional nurse manager in assessing, planning, directing and evaluating patient care while taking into consideration hospital and nursing department philosophy, goals and objectives. They are responsible for meeting the New York State Hospital Code Standards, ANA Standards of Nursing Practice, OSHA, the Joint Commission on Accreditation and Policies and Procedures of Columbia Memorial Hospital. Is responsible for overseeing hospital operations during the assigned shift, referring problems to administration or department heads as necessary.
Management Staff: Communicates philosophy and principles of safety and insures adherence to all Columbia Memorial Hospitalsafety rules and regulations.

- Adheres to standard safety practices and job, department, and Columbia Memorial Hospital policies and procedures related to safety.
- Participates in training and development activities in accordance with Columbia Memorial Hospital policies and practices.
- Displays good guest relations and positive attitude toward all hospital visitors, patients and vendors, etc.
