Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and mechanical components promptly and efficiently.
- Perform welding, residential painting, and other carpentry tasks as needed to maintain the hotel’s aesthetic appeal and structural integrity.
- Use tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical faults accurately.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, repairs, and inspections.
- Supervise external contractors or team members during large-scale repairs or renovations while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Assist with facilities management tasks including supervising safety procedures, managing building systems, and supporting manufacturing or operational processes within the hotel environment.
- Read and interpret schematics for electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems to facilitate effective repairs or upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by conducting regular safety audits and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest or staff maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality, manufacturing, or residential setting.
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of schematics, PLCs, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting electrical faults.
- Hands-on skills in welding, residential painting, mechanical repairs, and general carpentry.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for scheduling maintenance tasks and recording work history.
- Supervising experience overseeing maintenance teams or external contractors is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work, welding procedures, and general facilities management.
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately using tools like ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and coordination with team members.
