Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Electrical Estimator in Nashville, TN. The Electrical Estimator is responsible for providing accurate material and labor takeoffs and project estimates for commercial electrical wiring and systems. The ideal candidate possesses either direct estimating experience or substantial field experience in electrical construction, coupled with mastery of estimating software and a deep understanding of the National Electrical Code.

Licenses/Certifications Required:
Responsibilities:
- Prepare precise estimates of total project costs using discretion and independent judgment.
- Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs for electrical systems including wiring, switchgear, and distribution panels.
- Read and interpret blueprints and create sketches showing the location of equipment and wiring.
- Apply National Electrical Code (NEC) standards to the estimation of transformers, fire alarm systems, trim, and lamp fixtures.
- Master and utilize the EBM (Electrical Bid Manager) estimating system and other company-specific programs.
- Communicate effectively with project team members to ensure a full understanding of contract documents and job specifications.
- Complete all assigned estimates within specified timeframes to meet bidding deadlines.
- Maintain estimate accuracy within 2% of actual budget for projects over $5MM and within 5% for projects under $5MM.
- Ensure all proprietary information and estimates remain confidential with regard to outside sources.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a commercial construction estimator or 5 years of field experience in electrical construction.
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of National Electrical Codes and the installation of electrical equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and complex contract documents.
- Proficient in mathematical concepts including plane and solid geometry, fractions, percentages, and ratios.
- Capability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations with limited standardization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary for coordinating with project teams.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in all elements including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance at various heights.
- Capability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods as required by project needs.
- Normal vision with the ability to distinguish colors for electrical wiring identification.
- Occasional exposure to mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes, and airborne particles.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle equipment or operate computer systems for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment and navigate risks of electrical shock and vibration.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $120,000 to $130,000 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
