About Us:
Broken English is a nomadic sanctuary for the like-minded — a community-driven lounge redefining what residency and hospitality feel like. We’re looking for a Server who brings genuine warmth, sharp instincts, and a love for creating memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced, upscale setting.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests, providing attentive, knowledgeable service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, including cocktail and wine recommendations
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely, accurate order delivery
- Maintain full knowledge of the menu, specials, and ingredients (including allergy awareness)
- Process payments accurately using the POS system
- Uphold cleanliness and presentation standards for tables, service areas, and dining room
- Build rapport with regulars and first-time guests alike to support repeat business
- Work collaboratively with the FOH team during high-volume service
Skills & Qualifications:
- Prior serving experience in a bar, lounge, or upscale dining environment preferred
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities
- Comfortable working evenings/nights, including weekends
- Basic cocktail and wine knowledge a plus
- Positive, guest-first attitude with a polished, professional presence
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Team player who thrives in a fast-paced atmosphere
Pay: From $15.92 per hour
