How You’ll Make a Difference (Essential Functions)
The Store Manager is responsible for the coordination and oversight of the daily operations for an Agrace Thrift Store. The store manager provides direction in the daily operations to ensure exceptional customer service, high store standards, financial stability, safety & compliance. The store manager provides supervision of the assistant managers as well as coordination and leadership of thrift store volunteers.
Manage Daily Operations
Oversee the daily operations of the thrift store including sales floor management, oversight of backroom operations, and administrative tasks.
Ensure safety and cleanliness of the store.
Manage efficiency of thrift store ensuring appropriate staffing and volunteer levels are maintained and work is allocated effectively.
Work with management group to resolve problems and concerns to maintain positive relationships with volunteers, customers, and donors.
Ensure customer service skills are maintained and practiced by all levels of store staff and volunteers.
Ensure sales floor inventory is priced, displayed, and rotated to promote sales and meet store sales goals.
Set Business Strategy
Ensure policies and procedures are followed to promote a culture of customer service, accountability, and safety.
Work in collaboration with supervisor to plan annual budget, review financials, and adjust course to meet annual goals.
Engage in continuous process improvement and lead strategic direction for the store to lead to growth in support and revenue.
Manage Staff
Hire, train, and retain store staff (paid and unpaid).
Assign and direct the work of direct reports.
Assess staff performance and provide feedback, coaching, and correction.
Other Duties
You Bring (Qualifications)
High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and work experience; Bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred
3-5 years’ related experience
Experience managing staff
Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills
Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others
