About the Role:
We're seeking a motivated and dedicated Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our interdisciplinary team. As an OTP Assistant, you'll work closely with our licensed Occupational Therapists to design and implement personalized therapy plans, focusing on the unique needs of each patient. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with the implementation of treatment plans, conducting activities and therapies under the supervision of the occupational therapist.
Responsibilities:
- Assist occupational therapists in the implementation of treatment plans, including conducting activities and therapies, as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress, noting any changes or concerns
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and communication with patients and families
- Participate in patient evaluations, assessments, and treatment planning
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or related field
- Prior experience as an occupational therapy assistant or in a related healthcare field (1 years of experience)
- Ability to lift, move, and transfer patients as needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
