Responsible for identifying, pursuing, securing, and managing grant funding and other external funding opportunities that support the CSCD programs, initiatives, research, and strategic priorities. This position develops and maintains collaborative relationships with local universities, research centers, governmental entities, foundations, and other community partners to identify innovative funding opportunities and strengthen the department’s ability to obtain and effectively utilize grant resources.
Oversee the grant lifecycle from funding research and proposal development through award administration, compliance, reporting, and closeout. The position works collaboratively with the CSCD Director and Deputy Director, division managers, fiscal staff, and external partners to ensure grant-funded initiatives align with organizational priorities and applicable requirements.
Provide support to CSCD staff in developing proposals and may assist in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process. Assist with the Community Justice Plan and departmental program requirements. Generate status reports outlining grant management progress.
Ensure that all work is in compliance with CJAD standards; departmental policies and procedures; federal, state and local regulations; and funding, grant, and licensing requirements (if applicable).
